Weather wise, the best months to go into PNN El Cocuy are December to February when it is dryer. June and July are also not too bad. The worst months are April to May and August to September when it rains.

Needless to say, these clearer nights are also the coldest, with temperatures dipping below freezing (it’s even more frigid deeper within the park). As well, this is a popular destination for vacationing Bogotanos, especially in early January.
