The tourist office, conveniently located on Belgrano between the bus station and city center, is open from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. on weekdays and closed for an hour or so around midday. It has all you need in terms of pamphlets, maps and information about Tilcara and surrounding towns.
Belgrano is also home to a bike rental shop, locutorios with telephones and internet, and a correo (post office). Lavanderias and cash machines dot the streets of central Tilcara. There are a few well-stocked pharmacies as well. The hospital is a few blocks from the main plaza.
