El Quebradeño (Tel: 427-1127) buses to San Antonio de Los Cobres leave Salta daily and take about five hours. Another good way to see the town is on a tour. Many companies run guided tours through the Quebrada to San Antonio, and then on to the salt flats beyond before returning around the mountain. This is a long day, but a good way to see San Antonio without feeling like you’re stuck there.
