There are no buses that go to Santa Rosa de Tastil, so the only way to get there is by car. If renting a car, be careful of Route 51’s rough road, especially during the rainy season. Many companies offer tours which drive through the canyon, visit the ruins, and stop off in San Antonio de los Cobres before making a return circuit to Salta. Offices line Buenos Aires, just off of Plaza 9 de Julio in Salta.
