Safety
San Miguel de Tucumán is one of the more dangerous cities in Argentina. Although it lacks the crime problems of other major South American cities such as Quito, Ecuador, or La Paz, Bolivia, it is not great by Argentine standards. Theft is a problem, so be on guard, and avoid walking alone at night, especially if you're a woman.
