
Located to the east of San Salvador de Jujuy, Parque Nacional Calilegua covers 76,306 hectares of mountainous terrain that include faults, glens and very steep mountain ranges originating in the Calilegua Highlands. It is popular for its flora and fauna, and mountains that reach 4,000 meters (13,124 ft). Though the snow never quiet disappears from the mountain tops, the summers here do get very warm.
