Plaza Belgrano - City Plaza Jujuy - Argentina

Plaza Belgrano is surrounded by avenues Sarmiento, San Martín, Gornti and Belgrano at the eastern part of the microcentro. This was the main square of the colonial settlement and is still a vibrant part of today’s community, with local potters showcasing, and selling, their works. The Casa de Gobierno, which proudly boasts five oversized statues that represent peace, justice, freedom, labor and progress, stands at the south end of the plaza. Opposite the plaza is the beautiful Iglesia Catedral, with its gold-laminated Spanish baroque pulpit.
