Puna Catamarqueña

Located in the Catamarca province (Northwest of Argentina), La Puna attracts tourists for its splendor and tranquility. The site, at a height of 3,500-4,500 m (11,482-14763 ft), is nearly unoccupied, as if it was a virgin land. Some llamas, flamengos and sheeps live alongside to the 1,300 inhabitants. Most of the site is volcanoes, some peaks reaching 6,000 meters (19,685 ft). Travelers can explore the land by mountain bike or 4x4.
