This natural science museum could not have a more suitable location than within the wooded Parque San Martin. In conjunction with the National University of Salta since 1972, the goal of the museum is not only to preserve and exhibit information, but to conduct research as well. It focuses on the flora and fauna of the Northwest region. Animal lovers and taxidermists alike will enjoy the large collection of stuffed animals. There are also rooms devoted to insects, birds, geology and dioramas of the region.
