Argentina’s Lake District marks the northernmost reaches of Patagonia, and like the rest of the fabled region it offers a host of beautiful landscapes and sceneries. The natural center to the Lake District is Bariloche and the surrounding Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi, where outdoors enthusiasts can enjoy a plethora of activities including trekking, kayaking, and bike and horseback riding. Venture south and find El Bolsón, a more bohemian version of Bariloche, or Lago Menendez and Parque Nacional Los Alerces. To the north is the fly fishing haven San Martín de los Andes as well as the Seven Lakes Drive, a breath-taking road through a myriad of sky-blue lakes.
