The recently remodeled Slalom hotel, a few blocks up the hill from town, claims to cater to an outdoorsy crowd and families but looks more like a scene for business folk. Rooms have all the general amenities of a three-star place and are clean and comfortable but there are no special or local accents. All have good central heating, cable TV and telephones, and some pretty lake views. There’s a decent restaurant serving international fare, on premise parking, and transfer service available. A solid choice if you can’t find anything or aren’t looking for something with a little more character.
