For a laid back Irish bar experience, you can’t do much better than Pilgrim. The crowd is a bit older than you’ll find in other establishments about town, and the air a tad bit less smoky and the music less loud (live music can be heard Friday and Saturday nights). True to authentic Irish bars, the bartenders here pride themselves on their ability to form the shamrock on the head of a draught Guinness (or a draught of Kilkenny, for that matter). If it’s rowdy and raucous you want, you’ll probably be better served by the South Bar. Here you’ll just find a group of happy travelers looking to wind down an evening in tranquilo style.
