By Shanie Matthews

Cerro Campanario is a little mountain with a big view. It was also rated top 10 viewing spot in the world by National Geographic. It was first summited February 2, 1930, by Monsignor De Andrea. The chairlift begins at 770 meters (2,526 feet) and summits at 1,050 meters (3,445 feet). The orientation lends to spectacular views of lakes Nahuel Huapi and Moreno, Laguna El Trébol, peninsulas San Pedro and Llao Llao, Victoria Island, and mountains Otto, López, Goye, Catedral, Capilla as well as other peaks extending into Chile. The chairlift is a new Doppelmayer with a capacity of transporting 450 people per hour.
