Set on amazing grounds, Hotel Tunquelén is an example of the classy luxuriousness that was bestowed upon Bariloche architecture in the late 1930s. Although it is still a property that has glamor and prestige, it is not as well kept as its yesteryear. The grounds are extensive and include a long winding driveway with manicured landscaping, a small trail system, viewing platform and private boat launch. A full gym with a small indoor pool with 180 degree views of the Andes and Lake Nahuel Huapi was a recent addition to the existing building.
