Cycling possibilities abound throughout the Bariloche region, day trips on windy yet scenic lakeside roads to multi-day mountain biking excursions through expert terrain. Both the Circuito Chico and Circuito Grande offer biker-friendly roads that have plenty of interesting vista lookouts and swim spots along the way, though take care as the road is windy and it’s hard for drivers to see cyclists on corners. A scenic two-day trip connects Bariloche with San Martín de los Andes via the Ruta de los Siete Lagos, passing through pretty forested valleys and glistening secluded lakes. If you’re looking for more hard core mountain biking, check out Laguna Llum, Valle del Manso, Descenso del Cerro Catedral or Isla Victoria. Guided tours are also available from Bariloche to all these places, which generally dropping you and your bike off at starting points and collecting you at the end.
