El Bolsón is one of those special places that is wonderful to visit no matter the time of year. Due to the area's temperate climate, as well as a plethora of hiking trails and a tri-weekly craft fair, there is always something going on in the small town. But that's not to say that you can't plan your visit around specific seasons and activities. The summer sees a huge influx of tourists and is El Bolsón’s busiest time of year. It is also when the weather is at its warmest, sometimes hitting the 90s. The spring is great for a few different reasons; there are a few months worth of festivals that are sure to entertain. In the spring, blossoming plants such as Lupen and Witch’s Broom provide a feast for the eyes. Fall offers its own rainbow of autumn colors with mountains filled with forests of changing leaves. The winter is El Bolsón’s quietest period but is perfect for those looking for an escape from crowds of tourists.
