Mountain Biking in Esquel

Esquel is blessed with great soil that remains tacky despite a lack of rain in the summer. This lends itself to being a fabulous mountain biking arena. It is also the playing field for the Argentine Mountain Bike Championships in April. There is the full range of trail difficulties interlaced through the mountains surrounding town. Many of the rides include dirt roads and animal trails. There is a decent selection of bike rental shops in town. Make sure they are including the helmet within the price of the rental.
