Cabañas Forestas

For those wanting easy access to the ski area La Hoya, Cabañas Forestas is a good option. Located on the main route 259 coming into the city, the place is a great location for those looking to hitchhike to the mountain. The grounds are very basic and the cabins have seen their better days but the price is a little less than neighboring cabañas. The lukewarm staff has basic information about the surrounding area and adventure activities. They can help set up transfers to the various sites around Esquel if needed.
