Maria Castaña Confiteria is a popular meeting place for the who’s who of Esquel. The tea house has a fairly large menu including desserts, coffees, sandwiches and other light items, though it is not a place to visit if looking for large portion sizes. It is also more appropriate for adults enjoying lengthy conversations than children. There is a large, stocked bar in addition to caffeine treats. The bonus to this restaurant is that it is open for food during hours that most dining options are closed.
