Comunidad Mapuche Curruhuinca

Learning the culture of the Mapuche is an important aspect to understanding the true culture of Argentina. A great place to do so is within the Mapuche Curruhuinca community. The zone actually encompasses multiple townships that all share the common food, activities and crafts of the people. There are also hiking and camping areas that let you step back in time and feel the reality of these native people. Ask the main San Martín tourism office for maps and further information.
