If you would like to combine an excursion showcasing the impressive views of Lago Lácar and the Andes mountains with a chance to get up-close to the Arrayán tree, then this is your day trip. Begin by traveling from Avenida Costanera until it meets with Ruta Naciónal 234. Follow the paved road to the left, for three kilometers (1.8 miles). Further along you will come to two forks in the road: one leading to the Centenario Reserve (Reserva de Centenario), which has an impressive viewing area and the other to the left, the descent from Cerro Chapelco ski area.
