San Martín de los Andes has some of the best mountain biking in the Lakes District. From the Chapelco ski area to the national park, there are a range of rides with varying degrees of difficulty and distances to choose from. The tourist office can supply maps, as can the many mountain bike shops around town. In addition, there are plenty of guided tours to choose from. All bike rentals include a helmet.
