One of the main draws to El Bols├│n is the three-times-a-week craft fair. The number of booths that will open up on any particular fair day depends on the weather and the season. During high tourist months the number of vendors approaches 100, quite impressive turnout for such a small town. During fair days, the Plaza Pagano, located smack dab in the center of town, becomes a collection of a rainbow of goods, live music, homemade food and drink, theater acts and opportunities for people-watching. The types of crafts available range from jewelry to sweaters, statues to native healing creams. Although there is no set closing time, vendors tend to start packing things away around four in the afternoon. Be wary of craft fairs scheduled for mid-week, off-season and during bad weather; in the past, vendors have simply not appeared on days with this combination of factors.
