Esquel Things to See and Do
The area surrounding Esquel is packed with activities to do. In the summer enjoy fly fishing or hiking through the mountains of La Cruz, La Zeta and Nahuel Pan. Horseback riding, mountain biking, river rafting and tours through amazing estancias (ranches) are also available. The early nineteenth century steam locomotive, La Trochita is also a fun excursion, although the schedule is not dependable and is only for the days of summer. In the winter the local ski area, La Hoya, is a cheap skier’s (or snowboarder) paradise.
