The landscape surrounding San MartÃn de los Andes is green, lush and forested, sparkling with emerald and azure mountain lakes.
The town borders the Parque Nacional LanÃn (LanÃn National Park) with stunning views all within a day's drive. Among the not-to-be-missed sights are Volcano LanÃn (which resembles Mount Fuji), mountains rising beyond Lago Huechulafquen and open steppe.
San MartÃn’s main body of water is Lago Lácar and you can go camping or hiking along the lake shore, which offers mesmerizing views. Head 15 minutes beyond Lácar and you'll come across Lago Lolog, another underutilized natural treasure with trails wandering through old-growth forests and private camp sites. Lago Lolog also has excellent fishing spots.
