Traveler Reviews of Hotel Cesar

Tourist Trap

We stayed in this hotel for three nights in Dec 2008. The main pro of this hotel is that it is very centrally located. The lobby is also (misleadingly) nice. The rooms and service, though, are terrible. The rooms are tiny with thin walls and old carpeting, and there was mold in the bathroom. We could also hear *both* the elevator and the street all night, every night. The service did not make up for the poor accomodations: the main receptionist is surly and would not help us with even small requests (like extending the check-out even slightly past the typical 10.30am to fit better with our plan schedule). The free breakfast that comes with the room is also terrible. It consists of coffee, one type of cereal, croissants, and stale bread that is clearly from the day before. DO NOT RECOMMEND. We met other travelers who were paying the same amount who stayed in absolutely gorgeous rooms on the outskirts of town with views of the Beagle Channel. There is absolutely no reason to choose the Cesar.
