Since 1906 the Salomón family, originally from Syria-Lebanon, has had a general store in this locale. It still sells a few things, but El Almacén is now a museum preserving the memory of those long-gone times and products. (Check out the bathroom “signs.”) It is also a comfy place to kick back for a snack and drink. Its bar has locally brewed beers, wine and French liqueurs. Coffees come from all over Latin America. Accompany your drink with a panini, sandwich, cheese-cold cut platter or a French pastry. There are special events on Friday and Saturday nights, like music and storytelling. Lunch menus $11. Open daily 9 a.m.-midnight.
