Rock Paintings
There are rock paintings inside the park, and another site just outside it in the city of Itas. The paintings inside Parque Nacional Torotoro are located 25 minutes walk northwest of the village, on the banks of the RÃo Torotoro. Here you will find geometric symbols and other zoomorphic designs as well as representations of animals such as large snakes and llamas. The pinturas rupestres at both sites are found in rock caves, carved out by the water, and are an intense red color.
