Iglesia Santa Domingo - Historical Building Cochabamba - Bolivia

Iglesia Santa Domingo (Avenida Ayacucho and Calle Santiváñez) was one of the last colonial churches to be built in Cochabamba, and has many original ornamental details that were common in mestizo temples at the time, especially on the altiplano. Originally, there was just a small chapel on the site, and the church has gone through various rebuilds over the years.

The church has an arched roof and contains a large domed alter, with gold rose detailing throughout the interior. The brick facade is quite beautiful.
