Cochabamba offers an excellent range of accommodation, with good-value options available whatever your budget. The top end hotels are on or around Calle Ballivián (EL Prado) and north of the river in the Recoleta area of Cochabamba. Hostels and other budget accommodations are mostly in the south of the city, near the main bus station of Cochabamba. Hostels and luxury hotels aren't your only options: Mid-range digs span the difference. Even the cheaper hotels in town offer extra facilities such as gardens, cable TV and internet and at the higher end. Some Cochabamba hotels are housed in restored colonial buildings, so shop around before settling.
