Museo y Convento de San Francisco

San Francisco is the oldest church in Potosí. The convent was founded in 1547 by Fray Gaspar de Valverde, was later demolished, and then extended throughout a period of nineteen years starting in 1707. The museum houses important religious paintings and works. English speaking guides are available.
