Getting around by foot is the most convenient. Plaza 10 de Noviembre and 6 de Agosto are in the heart of Potosí. Most of the city's attractions, travel agencies, restaurants and other businesses are nearby the center. Buses are another economical option, and cost $0.20 to go anywhere within the city.
Taxis are easy to find, though the majority are in the main plazas. They are generally cheap, costing about $0.70 within the city center. It is advised to get radio taxis, especially at night, since they are considered safest. The bus terminal is located on Avenida Universitaria, which is a 30-minute walk into town. Taxis from the terminal go to the center and cost $1.20 to get to most central hotels.
