This small museum is dedicated to the Bolivian revolution of 1952. There are pictures from pre-revolution Bolivia and the Chaco War and a detailed description of the political events that led up to the revolt. It also documents how the national revolution gradually unravelled, leading to a succession of military leaderships from the mid 1960s to the mid 1980s. There’s a beautiful mural of the revolution painted on the museum walls and the remains of former presidents J.J. Torres, Gualberto Villaroel and Germán Busch are in the hall downstairs.
The museum is found right at the top of Avenida Busch in Miraflores, in Plaza Villaroel. There are great views of the city of the top of the entrance steps.
