Museo Nacional de Arqueologiá - Museum La Paz - Bolivia

The Museo Nacional de Arqueologiá displays artifacts from the Tiwanaku and other pre-Columbian cultures. There’s a description of the process of ceramic making alongside pieces from the Tiwanaku culture to the Inca period, and also ceramics from the eastern lowlands of Bolivia. The mining room exhibits traditional tools used in the excavation of minerals and some interesting gold, silver and bronze ornaments and figurines. Other pieces of note include mummified remain from the Inca period. The museum doesn’t really flow in any logical order but could keep you occupied if you’ve got an hour to kill. All descriptions are in Spanish.
