This is an excellent, friendly and cheap Spanish language school right near the edge of the middle of La Paz. Private teachers are available for US $6 per hour. The school offers lots of helpful advice, they look after you during riots and set up homestays for students.

Getting There: Get to the end of the Prad to the Plaza del Estudiante, follow the road down on the left hand side, past the university block. SpeakEasy is on the left hand side in front of a park.

A perfect place for learning spanish

Hi everyone, I'm from Madagascar and went to Bolivia last year. I tried studying Spanish in other places when I first arrived in South América but they didn't cover my expectations. Last year, I studied Spanish at the SpeakEasy and it was really good. The methodology is great. By the end of the first week I could easily communicate in Spanish. They're really friendly and professional all at the same time. I would consider it one of the best Institutes in Bolivia, if not the best.
