rip off

If there is one thing I dislike it is people trying to get advantage of you. Upon arrival I asked the owner if he had a simple room. He told me he hadn't but was willing to give me a doble for the price of a simple. That was, until the next morning, while I was rushing to get out to catch a boot for a daytrip. At that moment he told me I couldn't stay in the room for an extra night for the same price. I could only stay if I would pay for a double room. When I told him he should have told me the day before, he gave me a lame excuse that he tought I was only going to stay one night. That same morning, while smoking a cigaret at the balcony, I overheard a conversation between a couple who just arrived and the owner. Apparently they called him the day before to check whether he had a double room and whether they could occupy it at 7:00am. He must have said that it would be possible. But when they arrived they were told they couldn't get a room before 10:00am.Talking about bad service. Shouldn't tell you such experiences don't add up to a good atmosphere. So, yes, from the outside it looks a nice hotel. All this beauty disappears, though, when you feel they are trying to rip you of all the time.
