Challa is the only community not accessible by public boat, so it's probable you will only pass through here on foot during a complete walk around the island or if you're on a guided tour with a company coming from Copacabana. Pleasant enough to stroll through, there is much less happening in Challa, just a giant futbol field and many-a-donkey. Two buildings side by side on the beach offer accommodation, lovely views but finding the proprietors always proves difficult. By far the best and most reliable option is the pleasant Hostal Qhumphurt, set back from the beach with its huge sign visible from shore.
