Isla del Sol is a tranquil and sunny spot, good for eating and drinking, resting and walking. The main activities on the island are ruin- and site-seeing, all via incredible walking paths that run alongside and on top of the island, one of the largest on the lake. The 180 ruins here are some of the oldest in the area, dating back to the Inca rule 15th Century. Sunrise and sunset are not to be missed if you are sleeping on the island, and a boat trip to neighboring Island of the Moon may be costly, but a good day trip.
