Although the closest is just a half hour away from the mainland, there is no public transportation to or from the Islas Huyñaymarka. The best options for getting there is to hire a private boat, most of which take off from the small village of Huatajata, or to go with a tour agency. Commissioned boats cost about $25 (180 Bs.) to one island, and $60 (400 Bs.) for all three. It’s recommended to get a small group together to split the costs, but the boats are tiny so expect room for no more than six.
