A literal giant along the beach-front strip of rather teeny food stalls, Hotel Mirador is an eight-story behemoth. The front lobby itself is larger than some hostels in the area. Indigenous-designed blankets and other accoutrements adorn the rooms, which are spacious and have lakefront windows. One major drawback of this hotel is that it doesn’t have an elevator. Travelers’ reports about Hotel Mirador’s cleanliness, services, hot water and staff are mixed. But for some, the fantastic lake views and other-era architecture may be worth any inconveniences.
On the corner of Busch and Costanera.
