Santa Cruz and The Eastern Lowlands Things to See and Do

follow us

The diverse landscape of the Eastern Lowlands lends itself to a vast variety of activities. Santa Cruz, in and of itself, is a must-visit destination, with relaxing plazas a number of movie theaters, a zoo, trendy nightclubs and restaurants and excellent shopping. From Santa Cruz, one can easily visit the pre-Columbian ruins of Samaipata, or the nearby Jesuit mission towns. Parque Nacional AmborĂł offers excellent trekking and wildlife observation opportunities and the Che Guevara trail will certainly fascinate Latin American history buffs. The real adventure-seeker will accept the challenge to explore the remarkably hot and dry Gran Chaco Region.
