A short walk from the heart of Santa Cruz, the airport and the main bus terminal, Jodanga is a relatively new backpacker hostel in Santa Cruz managed by an Australian woman who decided after a trip to South America to ditch the corporate life and put her skills to work in Bolivia (on the side she coordinates volunteers for projects throughout Santa Cruz). The hostel is located in a recently remodeled home, and offers air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms, hot water 24 hours, kitchen facilities, free Internet, laundry service and, for those lounge-happy travelers, a swimming pool, poolside bar and Jacuzzi. Continental breakfast is offered daily and is included in the price. If you want to get out of the city to see the surrounding area, the hostel arranges day trips to surrounding areas like Las Lomas, Parque Amboro, Espejillos and Porongo.
