A number of trufi and minibus services leave for regional destinations throughout the day. The trufis have no schedule and leave when full, with some services running all through the night.
To Samaipata – Trufis leave from outside the Expreso Samaipata office at the corner of Avenida Omar Chávez and Calle Soliz de HolguÃn throughout the day when full. Journey time is about three hours and a ticket will cost you $3.50. A mini-bus service leaves every day from Avenida Omar Chávez III at 4.30 p.m. and costs $2. There is also a daily micro service departing at 4 p.m. from Avenida Grigotá on the third ring ($2).
To Buena Vista (Montero, Villa Tunari) – Trufis heading for Yapacani, passing Buena Vista, leave from near the corner of Calle La Riva and Calle Izozog throughout the day and night. Journey time is less than two hour and costs $3. Shared taxis to Montero also leave from here. It’s also possible to get to Villa Tunari this way by travelling transborde by first taking a trufi to Yapacani, then to Bulo Bulo (45 minutes, $1.50) then to Villa Tunari (two hours, $5/6). Total journey time varies depending on how long you have to wait for the trufis to fill up, but it’s normally quicker than taking the bus.
