The super budget option in the centre, Hotel 31 de Julio has basic rooms along the side of a large courtyard. There’s doubles, twins, triples and one room with five beds, all going for roughly $4.50 a bed. The mattresses are quite comfy for the price but you might have a few problems if you’re tall. There are only a couple of showers and toilets but they’re kept clean, and there’s also a communal area at the entrance if you fancy an afternoon siesta in front of the TV.
