The Fiesta de San José is held of May 1 and is a great time to visit the town. There is an array of cultural and religious events throughout the week leading up to the patron saint’s day, including unique folkloric dances and processions, baroque music and gastronomic fairs. There is also a cattle fair held on the same day with livestock and local crafts. A number of concerts are held in the beautiful stone church during the bi-annual international baroque music festival.
