Plaza Ballivían - Activity Info. Trinidad - Bolivia

Plaza Ballivían is the hotspot of Trinidad society, where the locals take shade under the tropical trees, the teenagers circle on their motorbikes and children play around the fountain. The structure around the cascading water contains statues of the bufeo pink river dolphin and of the moxos Indians. There’s also a statue of Mariscal José Ballivían, the founder of the department of Beni.

Surrounding the plaza you’ll find an assortment of carts selling orange juice and street-side cafés. The Cathedral stands at the south side of the plaza.
