Trinidad isn’t exactly teeming with entertainment options, but there are a few places to go out and enjoy yourself. You can catch a movie at the Cine Tropical (Calle Joaquín de Sierra between the main plaza and Calle La Paz) and there are a couple of billiards halls on Avenida Santa Cruz (between Av. Simón Bolívar and Calle M.A. José de Sucre) if you fancy shooting some balls.

For bars, El Tabano (Calle Melitón Villaviencio and Nestar Suarez, Tel: 3-462-4097) has live music on Fridays, plus a selection of food and cocktails. Plazuela Rosada, near the airport, is the best place to go out at the weekend. Here you’ll find a selection of bars including El Coyote bar (cover $1.50, ladies free early on) which plays pumping Latin music into the night.
