The foods of choice in Trinidad are fish and beef, and you’ll find a good range of restaurants serving these types of cuisine. It’s fresh too, considering Trinidad is surrounded by rivers and has plenty of cattle ranches in its vicinity. Although not over-flowing with other options, you can find some restaurants serving international cuisine, including Brazilian food, pizza, paella, pasta and salads. The numerous helardarías are good for juices and snacks, as well as ice-cream, and the Mercado Central serves up much of the same – fresh juices, empanadas and local bites, as well as a few main meals.
