To and From Yanacachi

There are two companies that have regular services from Yanacachi to La Paz. One leaves daily in the early morning, and the other has an afternoon departure three times a week. There might also be buses passing through the village from Mina Chojlla heading for La Paz. Your other option is to walk down to the main road (about two hours), from where there are regular buses passing on their way to La Paz (or Chulumani).

Buses from La Paz to Yanacachi leave from Calle Ocobaya in the Villa Fatima district around 2 p.m. Alternatively, take a bus to Chulumani and get off at La Florida. From here you can try to get a lift or walk to Yanacachi – go a little further down the road and take the footpath to the village.
