Oruro Mines

While tourist visits to mines are most often saved for Potosí, Oruro is another great spot to learn about the history of Bolivia's mining industry. The suffering caused by the mining industry has been a part of Oruro for centuries and continues to this day, and it is reflected in numerous museums, monuments and the like.
